Organising a wedding can be overwhelming, so I've answered the most common questions asked by my couples to help explain all the finer details of what I offer for wedding photography. Please have a read below and if you have any further questions don't hesitate to ask!
WHat packages do you offer?
I offer two packages that include full coverage for daytime affairs or longer events that run into the evening. Each package includes a selection of photos edited in high resolution, delivered on a USB in a handcrafted presentation box. Plus access to an online gallery of all the edited photos to immediately share with your family and friends. View more information here.
DO YOU TRAVEL interSTATE OR INTERNATIONALLY?
Absolutely! I am happy to travel to capture your special day. If I finish late and cannot drive back that night, then accommodation for that evening will be required. For events outside of NSW or overseas, there will be extra costs involved, such as return airfares, minimum 2 nights accommodation and a hire car. I will do my best to keep these extra costs as low as possible for you.
Do you offer discounts for non-weekend or off-season events?
My packages are tailored to provide each of my clients all with the same attention and care with their event coverage and the same level of post production work is provided. Therefore, I do not offer any discounts for week day or off-season events.
WHat is your approach on the day?
I aim to be as unobtrusive as possible. I want to capture the raw emotion of your day without getting in the way. I endeavour in making your wedding photos look romantic, dreamlike and, above all, beautiful. I give minimal direction to your guests, it is only during your location portrait session that I will offer some guidance to the both of you. This includes direction based on the best lighting, posing to best compliment you, and rearranging small details, (i.e. your dress and flowers). Telling your story with natural and creative imagery is what I love best.
What type of weddings do you typically shoot?
Most of the weddings I photograph are smaller affairs, backyard shindigs and chic outdoors or garden weddings. I love photographing people who are comfortable being who they are, unguarded in the way they show their love and emotion, and not afraid to be unconventional.
WHAT DOES "FINE ART" WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY MEAN?
What's often called "fine art" wedding photography is usually quite traditional and classic, but with added filmic touches and editorial influences.
DO YOU HAVE A SECOND SHOOTER?
Every photographer has their own individual style, so for this reason there is only one photographer to cover your day to ensure consistent quality and aesthetic of your images. For larger weddings or time contraints a second shooter can be added onto your package.
CAN I ORDER AN ALBUM FROM YOU?
I offer a 30 x 30 bespoke professional quality hard cover photo book, which is hand crafted by Kala Albums. After the book design is complete, it is sent off to them to be printed. The book is bonded with archival glue and the pages are completely cohesive and lay truly flat without gutter or gap. All materials are sourced in Europe and have certificates that tell a story of environment friendly production.
Can I order PRINTS from you?
Yes! Your photos will be printed on archival fine art paper with pigment inks and there are various sizes to choose from. They are truly beautiful.
WHEN DO WE RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS / ALBUMS / PRINTS?
Turn around is approximately 4 weeks for USB delivery and 6-8 weeks for albums and prints.
CAN WE HAVE every single photo you take?
Even though I take lots of photos, not all of these are 100% flattering or usable. Trust that I will provide you with the most important photos of the day (and there will still be plenty of them to look through!). If you are wanting to receive thousands of photos, then I may not be the best photographer for your needs. I believe in quality over quantity.
WILL YOU MEET WITH US IN PERSON BEFORE THE WEDDING?
Absolutely! I like to connect and get to know you and make sure we're a great fit. This usually involves us meeting at a local café (or over Skype video chat).
